After wearing glasses for 21 years and having the LASIK surgery, it is very hard to describe in just a few words the satisfaction and gratitude that I feel toward Dr. Salz and his staff. Probably the best way is to use the picture taken after my surgery. When I sat in the chair before my surgery, I saw a sign on the wall but was unable to read it. Right after the surgery, I sat up in the chair and looked at the same sign and read the words. My vision is 20/20, and life without glasses is great. I have recommended Dr. Salz to dozens of people and will continue to do so.

I am a martial arts and water fitness instructor. Before my LASIK procedure, I had to put up with wet eyeglasses and safety goggles. In one quick procedure, Dr. Salz changed my whole perspective--my sight, which for the past 16 years has been corrected by troublesome glasses and contact lenses, became perfect. I had my LASIK procedure performed after wearing glasses and contacts for over 30 years. I experienced no pain and only slight discomfort for a couple of hours after the surgery. On the way home, within 15 minutes after the procedure, I was able to read license plates of the cars on the road (my wife was driving). The next morning I drove to Dr. Salz's office for a follow up visit, without the aid of glasses. It was an unbelievable experience. Due to the application of medicated drops and wearing the protective eye guards at night, it was probably a week or so before I was back to my normal routine. Since then, I don't even think about when I wore glasses or contacts. It's such a relief of not having to get new lenses every year and all of the pain of cleaning and removing them before going to sleep.
Dr. Salz and his entire staff were always very professional and caring in their treatment and support for me before, during and after my LASIK procedure.

Deciding to have the procedure was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The procedure itself took only a matter of minutes, and I experienced no pain. What amazed me the most was that I drove to Dr. Salz's office the next morning for my first follow up visit…with no problem! Before the procedure, my eyes had a refractive error of about -7.00 each with a slight astigmatism. My last checkup resulted in a 20/20 rating, plus I no longer have my astigmatism.
The freedom of not worrying about breaking my glasses or losing my contacts is the greatest advantage for me. And the little things--being able to see the alarm clock, being able to look into my backyard when I get out of the shower, and being able to see when I go swimming--are definitely worth it.
I would most definitely recommend Dr. Salz to anyone who is considering LASIK. In fact, I already have--and he's as happy as I am.

It's amazing! I've worn contact lenses since the 9th grade. I swam in them (a big no-no) and even slept in them…just so I could see well at all times. I have dreamt of a procedure that would allow me to see well without the use of contact lenses or glasses. Dr. Salz and LASIK have made that dream come true.
I can now wake up and see clearly, swim, go to the beach, hike, whatever I want with no worries about losing a lens and having to carry my glasses as a back up. Dr. Salz's meticulous screening and testing assured me of his dedication to have the best possible outcome for my vision. The experience at the laser center really impressed me. I was quite nervous (I believe I wore a path in the carpet from all the pacing I was doing), but the team of professionals worked so well with Dr. Salz and kept me informed of what was happening every step of the way. I knew I was in good hands!
It's important to have the procedure performed by a surgeon who is well skilled and has the patient's best possible outcome as the priority. I have recommended Dr. Salz for LASIK and still do. It's amazing!

LASIK surgery has had a wonderful impact on my life. I was totally dependent on glasses and unable to wear contacts, which was a frustration with many activities.
